Typedesk

This completely went bonkers once I put in a slightly larger template with seven placeholders. First of all, it was not asking me for data in the order in which I had placed them inside the template. After adjusting myself to whichever way it asked for the data , it still didnt return any output. exasperated and running thin on patience here :(

I was jazzed to see a TextExpander/Raycast snippets replacement as part of Setapp, but I ran into several dealbreakers before I could even save my first snippet. First, I realized you can't set Fn keys as global hotkeys; Typedesk demands 3 of your precious few global combos. I thought I'd work around this by forgoing the hotkeys entirely, but they can't be turned off. You either accept conflicts or reconfigure your setup to accommodate Typedesk. Then, I learned you can't import shortcuts from other snippet expander apps. If you, like me, have hundreds of snippets, you must spend hours individually recreating each one before you can use them. To make that harder, Typedesk only allows letters and numbers in your shortcuts. You can set (conflict-prone) global delimiters, but no `:emojiname:`, `->`, or `phone;;`. Just remembering tons of shortcuts that aren't short because they can't all be. For an app meant to save time, typing, and remembering, it asks for a lot of all three.
