Go beyond writing and searching
AI can do more than just write your emails, fix typos, or act as a Google replacement. Here are some fun and handy ideas for using AI.
Take these apps on your AI journey
Plan your day
"So tomorrow I have a training at 8 AM, then a work meeting, then…" — just tell your smart assistant about your tomorrow's plans, and it instantly creates a schedule for you. Sounds futuristic? That's what the Structured Assistant does. Talk to it in plain language, and it adds everything to your calendar.
Summarize long emails
No time to read all those threads or newsletters? Ask Canary Mail to summarize them for you. Open an email, choose "Summarize this conversation," and AI lists the key things you need to know.
Skim dozens of documents
If you regularly go through numerous articles, books, and documents, AI can speed up your research. First, upload your data to the Super Brain in Elephas. Then, you can chat with AI, and it answers based on the data you provided. Perfect for finding information or getting insights!
Elephas supports various data sources, including PDFs, Word docs, Notion, web pages, Obsidian, and more. Open Preferences > Brains and choose Create New Brain to get started.
Write Excel and Google Sheets formulas
That's another hidden gem of Elephas! Write text instructions in Excel or Google Sheets, and Elephas transforms them into formulas.
Select the cell with the text instruction, open Elephas from the menu bar, and pick Utils > GSheet formula or Excel formula.
Create presentations
If you procrastinate instead of doing that dreaded presentation, ask Elephas for help. Choose Utils > "Create a presentation" from the menu bar. Enter the topic, pick a theme, and Elephas generates Keynote slides.
That's much faster than starting your presentation from scratch!
Play a text-based adventure game
We don't have games on Setapp, but TypingMind can immerse you into a fantasy world. Go to the app's prompt library and pick Act as a Text-Based Adventure Game. Enjoy!
TypingMind features more than 160 prompts, from acting as a job interviewer to playing tic-tac-toe with you.
Hope this how-to will help you solve tasks faster, and enjoy solving them, too! Check out more how-tos picked for you below.
