Navigate to files faster
Finder is the place where you’re supposed to find stuff. But the flow is far from perfect. You have to click on folders, then click on folders inside folders, and then click on folders…you get it. We know a better way.
Quickly return to recent files
With Default Folder X, you have a shortcut to opening recents from your menu bar.
Unlike Finder that only lets you access recent files, you can use this app to return to recent folders, too. What’s more, Recents in Finder contain all the files you’ve worked with in the last month — so most of them are not very recent. Default Folder X shows only truly recent items.
And here’s the best part: you can preview files right in the menu bar! Navigate to files faster
Default Folder X’s hierarchical menus will let you navigate to files 10x times faster than you do with Finder. Just hover your mouse over the menus and they’ll expand, beautifully.
Open Finder windows
If you hate searching for open Finder windows in the Dock, you’ll be happy to know that you can access all of them in Default Folder X. It even lets you go back to recently closed windows.
Hope this use case will help you solve tasks faster, and enjoy solving them, too! Check out more use cases picked for you below.
