FastKey is a Caps Lock delay fixer for Mac. macOS ignores quick taps on purpose, thanks to a hidden 75 ms delay, so you end up retyping sentences. FastKey switches that delay off, so every tap registers. It lives in your menu bar, reapplies itself after sleep, restarts, and keyboard changes, and you can turn it off anytime. Nothing permanent is changed on your Mac.

FastKey features
Make every tap count
FastKey switches off the 75 ms delay macOS adds to Caps Lock. Quick taps toggle right away, with no more lost presses.
Set it once, forget it
FastKey reapplies the setting after restarts, sleep, and keyboard changes. It also checks that the fix stuck, so you don't have to.
Works with your keyboards
Built-in, USB, or Bluetooth. Plug in a new one and it's covered automatically.
Check it with Tap Test
Tap Test counts your real key presses and shows how many registered. It's an easy way to see the difference on your own keyboard.
Easy to undo
The setting lives in memory only. Turn off Instant Caps Lock from the menu, or restart without FastKey, and your Mac goes back to normal.
Small and private
It's a tiny menu bar app with no accounts and no analytics. The Tap Test only watches Caps Lock, never the rest of what you type.
