Leakless is a metadata remover for Mac. It shows what your files reveal before you send them. Drop in a document, spreadsheet, presentation, PDF, photo or ZIP. In seconds you’ll see the comments, tracked changes, names and folder paths hiding under the page. Then make a clean copy: the page looks exactly the same, the hidden data is gone, and your original stays untouched.
Send a contract without the old comments
Send numbers, not commission formulas
Strip the GPS location from photos
Catch black boxes that don’t hide text
Leakless features
See your file in layers
Leakless pulls your file apart like a stack of glass plates. What everyone sees sits at the bottom, and everything hiding above it is sorted from “Critical” to “For your information”. It’s all in plain words, like “Comment by Olivia: we tell the client 30 days,” not a wall of metadata fields.
One click, one clean copy
Hit Create clean copy and Leakless makes a new file without the hidden layers. Text, pictures and layout stay as they are. Your original is never changed or deleted.
You decide what stays
Still need a comment for your colleague? Keep it. Want the edits but not their history? Accept the tracked changes. Everything else goes.
Documents, not just photos
Leakless looks inside documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, photos and ZIP archives. That’s where the costly slips live: hidden sheets, speaker notes, earlier PDF versions, text cropped off the page, photo locations.
Whole folders and ZIPs at once
Drop a folder or an archive and Leakless cleans every supported file inside, one by one. It also removes the Mac leftovers (.DS_Store, MACOSX) that quietly list your other files.
Nothing leaves your Mac
Every check and every clean copy happens on your Mac. No internet connection, no account, no data collected.
